World Food Day must be transformed into action to end “hunger” in the world. Seeing the problem of food, the United Nations established the “Food and Agriculture Organization ” (FAO) on 16 October 1945. It was announced to celebrate “World Food Day” since October 1979. Since then, “International World Food Day” has been celebrated in the world. The purpose of these days is to make people aware of the growing problems of hunger in the world. To strengthen the struggle against hunger, malnutrition and poverty. Karne. The whole world is struggling for the problem of hunger and everyone is struggling to get out of hunger and malnutrition. India’s economy is moving fast on the path of development. But today the picture is clear that millions of Indians are not hungry. Another picture of India is that crores of food grains are rotting in godowns. Still millions of people are starving in India. The result of this is that the image of the country can be tarnished in the world. The purpose of celebrating World Food Day is to end hunger in the world. It must be said that it is a misfortune of the world that we cannot give people even two meals. Humans, animals, wild animals, forest resources need food to fill their stomachs. Therefore, awareness about food wastage is necessary. Water is needed to grow food grains. Similarly, both living and non-living elements need water very much. Therefore, the entire process of food depends on water. Water is more important than food grains, because food can be produced only if there is water. October 16 is celebrated as “World Food Day” all over the world because it is very important to grow food. Why is every person in the world rushing to get employment today? The only purpose behind this is “to fill a full stomach” because it cannot be denied that it is also a half-truth that some people have to starve if they don’t get work. During the Corona period, the problem of hunger has spread in many countries of the world. Because during this period millions of people lost their jobs. Due to this, the problem of hunger appeared in many countries including India. And grows agriculture. That is when the “stomachs” of the people of the country and the world are filled. That’s why farmers are called as “food givers”. If the farmers do not grow food, then the entire population may die of starvation. But the farmers have taken the responsibility and responsibility of keeping the human race alive. Therefore, first of all, on the occasion of the World Food Day on 16th October, I salute all the farmers. Because heat, rain, cold, Farmers are struggling with wet drought, dry drought, tsunami and famine to earn income from agriculture. India is called the king of farmers i.e. “agricultural country” but for the last 76 years Indian farmers are still unhappy. The price is not available. The government passed the Agricultural Bill, but the farmers are still strongly opposed to this bill. Right price is not announced by the government in the market committee or mandi. It shows that the Indian farmers are upset. Today, if we think of the farmers, they are millionaires in mind and from the point of view of immovable property. But they are “poor financially”. Political leaders are always seen doing it. Today, near the businessmen and political leaders, four-wheelers, bungalows, gold-coins, movable and immovable assets and illegal assets can be seen from where? Farmers in India are working hard but even now it is seen that their fate has come to a “pumpkin”. Because we have seen that for the last 76 years, whatever the government is, it is completely on the side of the businessmen and capitalists. That is why the farming class is backward today. The lack of grain was not allowed. But in 1970, there was a terrible wave of hunger in China, so there was no food-grain to eat in China, so instead of food-grain, they started eating dogs, cats, cats, snakes, insects-monkeys and other animals. The Chinese government allowed banned animals to be eaten by the people all the time. Even after going through such a difficult situation, China has become a powerful country today. The whole picture of this came to us from Wuhan province. But the greatness of Indian farmers is that they did not provide food to the people of India during the pre-independence era and even after independence. But due to the lack of government’s planning of food-grain stocks, crores of tons of food-grains are rotting every year and this is the cause of famine. Even today, the problem of hunger and malnutrition in many areas like Melghat in India is seen on a large scale? Need to be studied by political leaders. Today in India, 60 percent of the farmers in the country have farms worth crores of rupees, but the Indian farmers are still poor. Because their entire agriculture depends on nature. The sudden change in the environment has put the farmers in a very difficult situation. On the occasion of Vishn Food Days, farmers ask the government how a handful of corporators, ex-MLAs, MPs and ministers will become millionaires and billionaires in five years without hard work. happen? Is the political leader so much bigger than the farmers? That the government gives him huge salary, pension, other allowances and gives pumpkin to the farmers. What if this works in a democratic country? But in today’s situation, it is seen that the political leaders are killing the farmers. Therefore, the government should show awareness about the farmers and help them on the occasion of World Food Days. Food prices have increased by a whopping 140 percent compared to 2002. Since December 2007, 40 countries have been facing food crisis. Currently, the Russia-Ukraine war that has been going on for the past 18 months is in a terrible state, and now suddenly the conflict of Hamas terrorists against Israel has reached a climax. Many Islamic countries are ready to jump on the side of Hamas, which means that the outbreak of war is in dire straits. This can affect the food stock and create a very serious situation. This is very serious, sad and worrisome from the perspective of an agrarian country. Because spoiled food-grains can satisfy the hunger of half a crore people every year. But it is unfortunate for India that lakhs of tons of grain produced by farmers with hard work rots. And it cannot be denied that this is the problem of hunger. This is why millions of people in India go to bed hungry. India also has a problem that 47 percent of children under the age of six are suffering from malnutrition. According to the information of FAO, 23 million people were facing hunger in India in 2009. It is a very serious matter that the number of hungry people in India is increasing day by day without decreasing. According to the 2023 data released by the Global Hunger Index, India ranks 111th in the world hunger index compared to 125 countries. It is very serious and worrying from India’s point of view. If we consider the neighboring countries, their situation is better than India, Pakistan-102, Bangladesh-81, Nepal-69, Sri Lanka-60. Even though there is “Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana” which provides free food to 20 crore people in the country since last few months. It is very unfortunate that the number of hunger victims is increasing. In India, it was also noticed in the survey that thousands of tons of food is wasted during weddings, Mahaprasad and other food events. This must be stopped somewhere. In today’s situation, every grain of food needs to be saved. It is only then that the saying “Dane Dane Pe Likhaan Hai, Khane Wale Ka Naam” can be fulfilled. Today it is the responsibility of 140 crore people to save every bit of food and curb hunger and malnutrition in the country. On the occasion of World Food Days, I request 140 crore people. “There is an absolute need to save every grain of food. Because of the growing population of the country and the war situation in the world, it is very important to save the food grains. Because the malnutrition of children in India is very bad. Similarly, I urge the government to stop the black market of food grains. The hoarders should be stopped immediately and strict action should be taken against them. Only then will the World Food Day be of real importance. On the one hand the whole world is scrambling for food and on the other hand it is seen that the whole world is on the verge of war and is sitting on a pile of gunpowder. That is today. Ammunition is given more importance than food in the world. It must be stopped somewhere else disaster can happen. For this, every country should show readiness to food for living and make efforts on a war level to end hunger, malnutrition and starvation.
